Below is a brief alphabetical listing of general services and facilities available in the village. For more information on specific businesses, community groups or sporting groups please select from the drop-down list under the Directory link in the top menu.
Boat Ramps
The main boat ramp is located at Trial Bay just south of the Kettering CBD.
Church Services
The Church of the Holy Spirit is located at 2910 Channel Highway (opposite Manuka Road. Services are also held at the Woodbridge Church. For details visit the Channel Congregation website.
Community Hall
The Kettering Community Hall is available for meetings and functions. Bookings may be made by phoning Peter Laud on 6267 4936 or 0401 253 139.
Justice of the Peace

Library
The nearest State Library of Tasmania is located in Kingston. Availability of titles can be determined using the library's on-line catalogue.
Markets
Kettering Community Market, third Saturday each month at Kettering Community Hall, Channel Hwy, Kettering. Stalls (cost $10) selling arts,crafts, produce, etc.

Medical
Kettering does not have a resident doctor. There are doctors available within 5 - 15 minutes drive at Snug and Kingston. Hobart has a full range of medical and hospital facilities.
Post Office
The Post Office is located at Kettering Central, 2936 Channel Highway and operates 7 days a week. Not all areas of Kettering are serviced by mail deliveries. Mail is held at the Post office for collection. PO Boxes are available on request. Contact Paul or Belinda Sangha on 6267 4413.
Public Transport
Metro Tasmania provides a service between Hobart and the Channel area. Click here to view the current timetable or call 132 201.
Slipway
Oyster Cove Marina, located at the head of Little Oyster Cove, offers full slipping and hardstand facilities.
Tennis Courts
Public tennis courts are located immediately to the south of the Kettering Community Hall on the Channel Highway. There are two courts: the one nearest the highway is open to the public; the second court is reserved for the use of members of the Kettering Tennis Club. Waste Disposal
Kingborough Council does not operate a garbage collection service in the area. Waste disposal services are available at Barretta just north of Electrona. For details click here.
